They’re lurking out there right now. Waiting to shake things up for you and your vehicle.
It’s pothole season and the city’s director of engineering Justin Lawrence advises the situation is slightly worse than it has been for the past couple of winters.
While works crews attempt to fill potholes as quickly as possible, they may not be aware of the newest additions to develop on city roads.
Lawrence says feedback on pothole location is appreciated.
He does note that while staff appreciates the heads up, they can’t always respond to you personally.
Potholes are the result of water seeping into cracks in the road’s surface and then expanding during freeze/thaw cycles which we experience throughout the winter.
