Local municipalities are following the provincial lead and ending the proof of vaccination system beginning today.
The City of St. Thomas, the Town of Aylmer, and Municipality of Central Elgin will no longer require proof of vaccination to enter local facilities.
This incudes the Joe Thornton Community Centre, East Elgin Community Centre and Port Stanley and Belmont Arenas.
While active screening will no longer take place upon entry, visitors will be asked to self screen.
It is noted that masking requirements and physical distancing will remain in place at all 4 facilities.
