The tribe has spoken and it’s time to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin’s St. Patty’s Day Survivor Lottery.
The elimination style fundraiser invites teams of four to test their luck over the course of 10 days, explains Marketing and Fund Development Coordinator Carolyn Johnson.
Each day, names will be drawn at random and these participants will be eliminated from the competition. Teams are not eliminated until every member has been drawn and removed from the running.
Johnson says teams can even purchase an immunity idol to help them out.
She adds these types of fundraisers are vital at Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin.
The lottery saw huge success in 2021, with the final survivor donating all winnings back to the local nonprofit.
