Southwestern Public Health reported at least 60 new COVID-19 cases since last Wednesday with 99 resolved.
The death toll remains at 149 since the pandemic began.
The percent positivity rate in the region has climbed to 13.1 %.
There are 200 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 58 in St. Thomas, 49 in Woodstock, 21 in Tillsonburg, 14 in Ingersoll, 10 in Aylmer and Blandford-Blenheim, seven in Central Elgin and East Zorra-Tavistock, six in Dutton-Dunwich, Norwich and Zorra, three in SW Oxford, two in Bayham and one in Malahide.
There are eight resident cases and one staff case at Chartwell Oxford Gardens in Woodstock.
There are nine hospitalizations at this time, with four in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 31.0 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 11,007.
A total of 97,151 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 58.4 per cent.
There are 91.4 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 108.5 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 136.1 cases per 100,000 population and 120.5 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
