In 2014, after overcoming a personal health challenge and losing her job, Lisa Jibson decided to put her work future in her own hands. An idea for a small business was born and supported through the OSEB program at the Elgin Business Resource Centre. Most people dislike paperwork and dealing with red-tape bureaucracy, but this is what Ross Street Agency loves. Ross Street Agency was created to assist individuals and small businesses in completing administrative tasks and various business support services, including writing, research, HR support, resumes, social media content and government relations, without committing them to a full-time employee. Offering services on an ‘as needs basis’ allows businesses to hire only when needed. Ross Street Agency, based in St. Thomas, cuts through red tape and offers virtual assistance to clients across Canada looking for executive business solutions. Ross Street Agency was a pioneer in working remotely before it was common in the workplace, plus it allows Lisa to spend more time with her favourite employee, her Bichon/Shih Tzu, Deacon. Ross Street Agency will be celebrating its 8th anniversary in the spring of 2022.
