The St. Thomas Police Service will be Freezin’ For A Reason this Wednesday in support of Special Olympics Ontario.
Members of the local police service will join officers across the province by taking a dip in freezing cold water for the annual Polar Plunge as Staff Sergeant Kim Manuel explains.
And for those 35 years, the relationship between officers and the local Olympians have only gotten stronger notes Manuel.
The STPS will be set up for the Polar Plunge at the Joe Thornton Community Centre from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Manuel says those that want to get involved are still about to register.
Those who are not able to participate but still want to support the cause can make a donation here.
The goal for the St. Thomas Police is to raise $3000 in support of the over 26,000 Special Olympics athletes across Ontario.
