As myFM learned through our recent story on potholes, residents of St. Thomas and Elgin County are passionate about the quality of local roads.
Well, now it’s time to let your voice be heard as voting is now open for CAA’s annual Worst Roads campaign.
Spokesperson, Teresa Di Felice, says this is a good chance to inform decision-makers which roadway improvements you want to see.
The campaign, which is now in its 18th year, runs until April 19th with voting allowed each day notes Di Felice.
Di Felice says according to a January survey, more than 80 per cent of Ontarians say poor road conditions are still the most common issues in their neighbourhoods.
Officials estimate the damage to a vehicle caused by a pothole can range from 3-hundred to 6-thousand dollars, depending on the make and model of the car.
