The City of St. Thomas and all municipalities in Elgin county have now rescinded their emergency declarations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The declarations have been in place since March of 2020 in response to the province declaring an emergency under the Emergency Measures and Civil Protection Act.
All of the area municipalities are monitoring the COVID situation and indicate they will follow guidance from the province and Southwestern Public Health.
All public health measures are expected to be lifted by the province by April 27.
