In their latest update Monday, Southwestern Public Health reported at least 139 new COVID-19 cases since Friday with 126 resolved.
There was one new death, a St. Thomas man in his 80s, not related to an outbreak. The death total is 157 since the pandemic began.
The percent positivity rate in the region is 13.5 %.
There are 432 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 127 in Woodstock, 119 in St. Thomas, 37 in Tillsonburg, 36 in Ingersoll, 17 in Central Elgin and Dutton-Dunwich, 15 in Aylmer and Zorra, 14 in Norwich, eight in East Zorra-Tavistock and SW Oxford, seven in Blandford-Blenheim, five in Bayham and West Elgin and one in Southwold and Malahide.
There are 15 resident cases at Harvest Crossing Retirement Home in Tillsonburg, six resident and one staff case at Royal Oak Senior Living in St. Thomas, six resident cases at Caressant Care Retirement Home in Woodstock, four resident and four staff cases at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock, one resident and one staff case at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock and 15 patient cases at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
There are seven hospitalizations at this time, with none in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 30.5 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 11,917.
A total of 99,201 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 52.9 per cent.
There are 197.3 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 194.9 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 234.7 cases per 100,000 population and 229.0 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
