The Easter long weekend is upon us and for the first time in two years there are no public health mandates restricting gatherings.
However, the area’s medical officer of health Dr. Ninh Tran is urging residents to adopt voluntary measures to lessen transmission and protect vulnerable members of the community.
These include staying home if feeling unwell, socialize outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces and wear a mask while socializing indoors with people from outside your household.
For those planning dinners and other celebrations, it is recommended you keep guest lists small, encourage self-screening before attendance and continue with excellent hand hygiene practices.
