Candidate registration is now open for individuals seeking to run for mayor, councillor or school board trustee in this fall’s municipal elections.
The 2022 municipal elections are scheduled to take place October 24th.
Prospective candidates have until August 19 to register and submit the required documents.
St. Thomas mayor Joe Preston and councillor Steve Peters have already indicated they are seeking re-election.
Nomination papers for St. Thomas mayor and councillor positions are available in the clerk’s department at city hall or at stthomas.ca.
