With the beautiful weather we’ve been experiencing lately, it seems very timely that the city of St. Thomas is preparing for leaf and yard waste collection.
You’ll have all this week to get your lawn and garden in order as running next week, residents can leave leaf and yard waste out for collection on their regular scheduled garbage days.
Residents can utilize the collection regardless if its green cart or recycle week.
The city does encourage residents to mulch their leaves first and add them to their lawn or garden and then leave leftover or excess leaves out for collection.
Acceptable Material includes: Grass, leaves, weeds, plants and brush (no longer than 3 feet and no thicker than 2 inches in diameter).
