Southwestern Public Health reported at least 51 new COVID-19 cases since Friday with 106 resolved.
There was one new death, a female Oxford resident in her 90s. The death total is 166 since the pandemic began.
Five new cases were reported in St. Thomas and one each in Aylmer, Dutton-Dunwich, West Elgin and Bayham.
The percent positivity rate in the region is 12.26%.
There are 191 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 64 in Woodstock, 51 in St. Thomas, 24 in Tillsonburg, 15 in Ingersoll, seven in East Zorra-Tavistock, six in Aylmer, five in Central Elgin, four in West Elgin and SW Oxford, three in Blandford-Blenheim, Norwich and Zorra and one each in Bayham and Dutton-Dunwich.
There are 23 resident and 10 staff cases at Extendicare in Port Stanley, 57 resident and 19 staff cases at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock, 11 resident and two staff cases at Victoria Manor in Woodstock, nine resident and five staff cases at Elgin Manor, six residents at Oxford Gardens Retirement Home, 20 resident and two staff cases at Maples Home in Tavistock and six patient and one staff case at Woodstock General Hospital.
There are three hospitalizations at this time, with none in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 28.8 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 13,373.
A total of 100,548 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 53.7 per cent.
There are 87.3 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 99.1 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 119.7 cases per 100,000 population and 72.3 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
