A 19 year old St. Thomas resident is facing multiple charges after police located him sleeping behind the wheel of a running vehicle.
Officers on Community Patrol located the male driver in a parking lot on White Street, where he was taken into custody for suspected impaired operation.
Once at the station, the male was taken before a Drug Recognition Expert. Following the assessment, the 19 year old was charged with Operation While Impaired by Drug and Have Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available.
The man was later released with a future court date, but not before his vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
