One more sign of life in St. Thomas that has a distinctly pre-pandemic feel to it will become evident in just a few days.
The midway for this year’s St. Anne’s Festival will begin to take shape this weekend.
Festival co-chair Mike McLaughlin outlines what festival-goers will enjoy at the 49th edition of the popular event.
The festival opens Wednesday, June 1st and runs through Saturday, June 4th on the grounds of the St. Anne’s Centre.
It’s four days of family fun as the St. Anne’s Festival returns after a two-year absence.
McLaughlin explains most of the activities and attractions festival-goers have come to expect will return this year, however there will be a couple of exceptions in order to ensure a safe re-emergence for the community event.
He notes the community event has provided entertainment for both young and old, while donating proceeds of close to a million dollars back into the community to support many of the charities and organizations helping to make a difference in people’s lives.
Pay-one-price ride bracelets can be purchased in advance on their website at http://stannesfestival.com.
And, parents take note. As Friday, June 3rd is a PA day for students, the festival will open at noon so they can enjoy a full afternoon of fun at the fair.
