The Aylmer Police were kept busy over the Victoria Long Weekend, conducting traffic enforcement in the town and laying over 30 charges.
From Friday, May 20th to Monday the 23rd, officers conducted enforcement in the Town of Aylmer, focusing on the “big four” offenses, including speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving and seatbelt use.
A total of 31 charges were issued over the long weekend, including 22 for speeding, 4 liquor infractions, 2 failing to wear a seat belt charges, 2 charges for Race Motor Vehicle – excessive speed and 1 Impaired Driving charge.
Aylmer Police note that no collisions reported on their roadways during the initiative.
