Southwestern Public Health reported at least 21 new COVID-19 cases since Friday with 56 resolved.
There was one new death reported. The death total is 169 since the pandemic began.
The percent positivity rate in the region is 8.43%.
There are 89 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 20 in Woodstock, 19 in Ingersoll, 16 in St. Thomas, 7 in Tillsonburg, six in Norwich, five in Aylmer and West Elgin, three in East Zorra-Tavistock, two in Dutton-Dunwich and SW Oxford, and one each in Bayham, Southwold, Blandford-Blenheim and Zorra.
There are nine resident and seven staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll and 10 resident cases at Seasons Retirement Home in St. Thomas.
There are seven hospitalizations at this time, with three in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 28.8 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 13,645.
A total of 101,483 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 54.2 per cent.
There are 40.7 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 74.4 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 37.6 cases per 100,000 population and 60.3 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
