My Broadcasting Corporation knows how important it is that local residents gain skills and further education in order to be community leaders of tomorrow. Because of this, MBC, 94.1 myFM’s parent company, will be awarding a $2,500 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to attend college, university or enter the trades.
Samantha Wakefield, General Manager of 94.1 myFM explains that this is a first for MBC.
As far as other scholarships compare, what were asking from applicants isn’t a 10 page essay, we just want to hear from you notes Wakefield.
Because local means so much to us, we want to know “What Community means to you.” The deadline to apply is coming up fast, with applicants having until Friday at 7 p.m.
Wakefield adds that this money could significantly help a local student.
