Southwestern Public Health reported at least 18 new COVID-19 cases since Monday with 24 resolved.
The death total is 169 since the pandemic began.
The per cent positivity rate in the region has dropped to 6.76 per cent.
There are 83 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 22 in in St. Thomas and Woodstock, 12 in Ingersoll, six in Tillsonburg, five in Norwich, three in Aylmer and West Elgin, two in East Zorra-Tavistock, SW Oxford and Zorra and one each in Bayham, Southwold, Dutton-Dunwich and Malahide.
There are nine resident and seven staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll and 10 resident cases at Seasons Retirement Home in St. Thomas.
There are eight hospitalizations at this time, with one in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 28.7 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 13,669.
A total of 101,483 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 54.2 per cent.
There are 37.9 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 71.1 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 51.6 cases per 100,000 population and 36.2 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
