If you’ve ever thought about signing yourself or your child up for ringette, a free event hosted at the Joe Thornton Community Centre next weekend may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Thunder Ringette will be hosting a Come Try Ringette event on Saturday, June 18th at 1 p.m., giving attendees the chance to learn more about the unique sport.
The only items participants need to take part are skates, a certified helmet, and warm mitts or hockey gloves.
Thunder Ringette will also be playing a few pick up games following the event, with attendees encouraged to stay and take in the match ups.
Those hoping to attend are asked to pre-register, with a chance at prizes available if you do so.
