Southwestern Public Health reported at least 23 new COVID-19 cases since Friday with 35 resolved.
The death total is 169 since the pandemic began.
The per cent positivity rate in the region has dropped to 6.76 per cent.
There are 77 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 19 in St. Thomas and Woodstock, nine in Ingersoll, six in West Elgin, five in East Zorra-Tavistock, four in Aylmer, three in Central Elgin and Norwich, two in Tillsonburg and Zorra and one each in Bayham, Dutton-Dunwich, Malahide, Blandford-Blenheim and SW Oxford.
There are nine resident and seven staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll and 11 resident cases at Seasons Retirement Home in St. Thomas.
There are three hospitalizations at this time, with none in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 28.7 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 13,718.
A total of 18,665 residents in the region have had four doses of a vaccine or 32.9 per cent of those ages 60+.
There are 35.2 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 72.9 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 44.6 cases per 100,000 population and 48.2 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
