A 37-year-old St. Thomas resident has that million-dollar feeling.
Sandab Suy won a Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the April 16 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
He says he has been playing the lottery since he came to Canada 13 years ago and this was his first big win.
The 37-year-old who works in the food industry checked his ticket while at the gas station.
“The clerk told me I won a big prize and my heart started pounding,” he said.
“I had no idea how much I won yet. At first, I thought I won $100,000, but then I realized it was $1 million. It was unbelievable.”
He plans to pay off his mortgage and buy a new car.
He added, “This is my chance to make my dreams come true.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Wellington Variety on Wellington Street in St. Thomas.
