Mandatory mask mandates in high-risk settings across the province will continue to be lifted on a gradual basis.
That includes on Saturday, when masks are no longer required on public transit.
However, masks will be required at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for the time being.
A decision that aligns with other hospitals in the South West region.
In a release, the hospital notes the move is a commitment to keep elderly and immune compromised patients safe while ensuring health care workers are available for work and to reduce the odds of further outbreaks.
