These are tickets OPP officers will gladly hand out.
They’re not for speeding or distracted driving.
They’re part of Operation Freeze, where officers build positive relationships with young people by rewarding them with tickets.
Maureen O’Grady with the OPP explained to a group of Grade 4 students from Kettle Creek Public School in Port Stanley the tickets are all about celebrating and encouraging good deeds.
Rewarding youngsters for worthwhile deeds and to help with positive police interaction, adds O’Grady.
They are tickets officers will freely give out to deserving youngsters, explains Insp. Mark Loucas, Elgin OPP Detachment Commander.
Operation Freeze tickets can be redeemed for cold drinks at Circle K Convenience Stores across Ontario.
