Wednesday was moving day for Rob Flack.
Out of his old office as president and CEO of Masterfeeds in London and into one of his new offices as Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP.
The same day Flack was sworn in at Queen’s Park, he was appointed to become one of two parliamentary assistants – along with MPP Trevor Jones – to Lisa Thompson, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Flack notes he knows a thing or two about agriculture.
Parliamentary assistants support ministers with legislative and committee matters.
And, advocating strongly for SW Ontario will be a priority for Flack.
He and Jones are eager to promote the agri-food sector in this part of the province.
Flack notes the economic potential of Elgin-Middlesex-London lies in its diversity and he intends to capitalize on every opportunity to praise the merits of the riding.
As a parliamentary assistant, there will be no shortage of venues in which to promote the riding and SW Ontario in general.
He reminds agriculture and food have been his career for 40-plus years.
