It’s an event where dogs are welcome and people are tolerated. This Saturday is the Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival at Springwater Conservation Area, all in support of Helping Paws Rescue and Pound Dog Rescue.
Running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can take part in demos, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, take your “Smooch a Pooch” picture in the photo booth, peruse through the roughly 86 exhibitors and vendors planned, plus so much more.
Plenty of food options will be available for both pups and people, with a water refill station and dog bowls set up around Springwater.
Admission to the festival is $12 per car load or $4 or walk-ins, with more details available here.
You can also stay up to date on their Facebook page.
