It will be a first for St. Thomas. A large scale music festival to close out the summer season, hosted in beautiful Pinafore Park.
The three day event, dubbed the St. Thomas Summer Harvest Festival and hosted by the newly formed Good Vibes Community Association, is guaranteed to have something for everyone.
That was festival Executive Director, C.J. Allen who also shared how the idea for the new local event came about.
Running from September 23rd to 25th, Allen notes the festival will see a weekend of attractions and of course live music, culminating with a performance by a country artist with ties to the community.
Other main stage acts include Guns N Roses tribute band Dust N Bones, social media sensation Crash Adams, pop singer-songwriter Dani Doucette, London-based band Texas King and Country Music Association of Ontario male artist of the year Aaron Allen.
Allen adds that it won’ just be the bandshell at Pinafore rocking, as a second stage will play host to a number of acts as well.
The St. Thomas Summer Harvest Festival will also look to bring your competitive side out, with a number of team events planned over the three days.
But that’s not all, with Allen providing exclusive details to myFM about just some of the exciting and unique activities they have in store for the community.
Allen adds that their own version of the ‘Cash Cab’ will also be driving around Pinafore Park, giving attendees the chance to win $500 if they can answer 20 questions correctly in a row.
With so much planned over the three day festival, Allen says it’s important to them that they try to keep their environmental footprint as small as possible.
Entry into the St. Thomas Summer Harvest Festival is free of charge, with main stage events being ticketed.
