If you were able to make it out to the First Student, Big Bus No Big Deal event in St. Thomas Wednesday, you’re saying just that- It’s no big deal!
The school bus driver recruitment event allowed members of the community who have ever thought about becoming a driver, give it a try.
Mayor Joe Preston and MP Karen Vecchio were among those who took a bus for a spin.
myFM caught up with Vecchio after her ride, who noted how much easier it is than she thought!
We also spoke with St. Thomas resident Tena Marie Moore who decided to give it a try after seeing the mayor in action.
And after getting behind the wheel, Moore notes she signed up on the spot.
Much like Vecchio, Moore says it’s a lot easier than you may think.
