A 33-year-old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into a series of residential break-ins in the Lynhurst area.
Early Wednesday morning, Elgin OPP responded to a complaint of a suspicious person incident in the McBain Line and Wellington Road area.
A man was located with a large amount of stolen property linked to recent nearby residential break-ins.
Stephen Roach faces a variety of charges including:
2 counts of break & enter a Place – intent to commit an indictable offence
break & enter – commit an indictable offence
2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
mischief under $5,000
fail to comply with probation order
fail to comply with release order
He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas at a later date.
Police have recovered a significant amount of property that is believed to have been stolen.
