Once again, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
A St. Thomas couple in their 80s are out $17,000 in an online Bitcoin scam.
The victims believed they bought $250 worth of Bit Coin back in January from a verified online site based in England.
After being notified in April the investment was now worth $17,000, they were instructed to download an app so the money could be put in their account.
The scammer instead made several withdrawals from their account.
