It was a staple event in the city for over 25 years.
But as St. Thomas continued to evolve, making it difficult for organizers to find a home for the Iron Horse Festival, thus came the rebrand to the Railway City Music and Arts Festival, now permanently housed in beautiful Pinafore Park.
That was Festival President Joanne Dowswell who notes the rebrand allowed them to hyper focus on improving the music and arts aspect of the festival.
And that will include two music stages with performances from open to close, appearances by local first responders, and so much more.
Advanced midway tickets are now available at a number of local businesses, saving riders $10 in they purchase early. Dowswell adds that while there is no admission charge to the festival, a number of organizations will be collecting donations.
With such a large schedule of events planned over the four days, Dowswell adds that they are still accepting volunteers to help fill some of the gaps they currently have.
For those wishing to get involved, a volunteer sign up page is available on their Facebook page, or you could simply send them a direct message.
