Hydro One is advising of a scheduled power outage coming up Sunday that will impact residents in St. Thomas and surrounding area.
The outage is to replace a faulty transformer in St. Thomas requiring a 90-minute outage on Sept. 11 from 6 until 7:30 a.m.
This will affect Hydro One customers in Fingal, Oneida Nation of the Thames and surrounding area, Entegrus customers in St. Thomas and ERTH Power customers in Port Stanley.
Hydro One has also provided some tips to help you and your family during an outage:
· Make sure your appliances, such as the stove, are in the off position.
· Make sure your cellphone and devices are fully charged.
· Use a battery-powered alarm clock or cellphone to ensure you do not miss any Sunday morning alarms due to clocks resetting.
· Keep your refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible.
