They used to be a common sight in summer until the pandemic and screen time got in the way.
But this past weekend, two youngsters opened up a lemonade stand on Chestnut Street, selling the thirst quencher by the glass with cookies and lemon cake while collecting donations for the food bank in St. Thomas.
Eight-year-old Nieve and nine-year-old brother Chase Ragoobar explain who was responsible for what.
Mom Alison says this is not their first entrepreneurial effort with lemonade.
Thanks to a neighbour, they were able to set up on Chestnut Street under the shade of a tree to escape the heat and humidity.
Alison advises the money and donated items will go to the food bank later this week.
Anyone wishing to donate non-perishable items this week can call the myFM news team at 519-633-6936 and we will arrange to forward them to the family.
