An act of arson that took place last Wednesday at a Talbot Line address has the OPP investigating.
Police determined that unknown individuals attended the residence in Central Elgin, poured a substance into the rear bed of a pickup truck and started a fire that then spread to the house.
Thankfully the owner of the home was able to quickly extinguish the fire, resulting in no injuries.
It was later discovered that this was the second attempt that unknown individuals made to set the truck on fire.
A dark coloured SUV was observed fleeing from the area westbound on Talbot Line and anyone with further details on the incident are asked to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
