While their next selling season is still quite a few months away, the next time you purchase your fireworks from the St. Thomas Kinsmen, you’ll also get to take in an exciting collaboration.
A mural now graces the backside of the Kinsmen fireworks trailer, a new addition to the club notes Secretary and Chair of Fireworks Sales with the St. Thomas Kinsmen Cam Walters.
While they could have easily hired a company to put an eye catching wrap on the trailer, he notes they wanted to involve the community to help give it a more personally connection.
And that’s when an already established relationship with the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre came into the equation.
Then as Walters notes, that’s when the magic happened!
With just one side of the trailer complete, Walters adds that the hope is to eventually get both sides painted.
The 48 foot long fireworks trailer is utilized by the Kinsmen in preparation of both the May long weekend and Canada Day, with the sale acting as their main fundraiser each year.
