City councillor Steve Peters had, on several occasions, met not only Queen Elizabeth, but now King Charles.
In particular, the former MPP remembers meeting her in his role as Speaker of the Legislature on a visit to Queen’s Park in Toronto.
Peters recounts a reception in Toronto where he not only met and spoke with the future king, but also Camilla, then Duchess of Cornwall and now Queen consort.
He recalls the occasion Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip stayed overnight in Elgin county at Redtail Golf Club.
Peters says he will forever have goosebumps as he flashes back to meeting the Queen face to face.
