An update to the story myFM was following yesterday. Both St. Joseph’s Catholic High School and Fanshawe College have reopened following a possible security threat on Tuesday.
London Police were notified of an email sent to the London District Catholic School Board overnight on Tuesday mentioning St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School. As a precaution, St. Joseph’s High School in St. Thomas was also closed. London Police spent Tuesday morning sweeping through St. Thomas Aquinas and their special canine unit was sent to St. Joe’s later in the day to go through that school. Nothing suspicious was found at either school. Due to its proximity to St. Joe’s, Fanshawe College was also closed for the day.
Police continue to investigate the source of the threat. All schools have reopened for normal operations on Wednesday.
