After wrapping up an appearance at the Summer Harvest Festival, Dani Doucette is heading back to Toronto.
The long way.
Taking two weeks or so to walk the 250 kilometres from her home town east along Highway 2 to Toronto.
Something she calls two feet and a heartbeat in support of mental health.
Doucette explains the personal connection to her walk.
The Walk With Me for Mental Health campaign follows her successful appearance Saturday evening at the festival in Pinafore Park.
It’s a campaign endorsed by C.J. Allen and the Good Vibes Community Association, promoters of the Summer Harvest Festival.
Allen accompanied Doucette out of the city and explains the association’s support.
Doucette notes walking long distances has proven beneficial therapy throughout her life.
She explains where you can get more information and how best to donate. And, follow her progress.
