Voters in Central Elgin are off to the races in this fall’s municipal election.
An advance poll was held Saturday as residents will be determining the outcome in several heated races. There are four mayoral candidates with Dennis Crevits, Tom Marks, Casey Siebenmorgen and Andrew Sloan vying to fill the seat vacated by present mayor Sally Martyn. She is running for the councillor position in Ward 2.
In total, there are 22 individuals jockeying to fill mayor, deputy mayor or councillor seats in Central Elgin.
The next advance poll is Oct. 8.
