Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, St. Thomas Police participated in the nationwide Operation Impact public awareness campaign.
Over the four-day period, city police laid a variety of charges including five for disobeying a stop sign, five seatbelt violations, three for distracted driving and three impaired operation offences.
The campaign focussed on impaired, aggressive and distracted driving along with use of seat belts and child car seats.
All under the banner of ‘Put Your Best Foot Forward.’
