This is Community Health and Wellbeing Week, an opportunity for the Central Community Health Centre to showcase their work in St. Thomas, Central Elgin and Southwold.
The theme of the week is confronting inequity and celebrating community.
Diane Arsenijevic, program coordinator explains health inequities, worsened by the pandemic.
To meet the needs of all residents, the Central Community Health Centre confronts inequity and advocates for change.
Arsenijevic says it is all part of meeting the needs of everyone in the community.
She adds, to commemorate Community Health and Wellbeing Week their mobile clinic unit will be in Port Stanley on Friday from 11 a.m, to 1 p.m. to meet residents.
Judith Wiley, CCHC CEO adds, “Real change for marginalized people and communities takes place when we work together. Here at Central Community Health Centre, we celebrate our community’s efforts to achieve real change.”
