A Central Elgin resident is facing impaired driving charges after several residents contacted Elgin OPP with concerns.
The vehicle was stopped on Centennial Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The driver was accompanied by a 5-year-old child who was not wearing a seatbelt. A 45-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving, abandoning a child and driving while a child is not properly secured.
Their licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused will appear in St. Thomas court at a future date.
