It’s a numbers game and we’re running out of them.
And so next June, a new area code will be phased in for southwestern Ontario.
Seems the 226, 519 and 548 area codes in the region are expected to run out of numbers by August, 2024.
The CRTC advises the new 382 area code will create millions of new phone numbers.
