An active week for the St. Thomas Stars.
Midweek they traded netminder Owen Willmore to the Stratford Warriors for forward Seth Huygen.
The Mitchell native had 2 goals and three assists in 12 games this season with the Warriors, currently tied for first place in the Midwestern Conference of the GOJHL.
Willmore had appeared in 10 games for St. Thomas with a 3.72 GAA.
The Stars then acquired goalie Connor Bradford from Stratford to complete the deal. Bradford played in 17 games this season with a 2.21 GAA.
And a rarity in the Stars’ 6-2 win Friday evening at home against the Komoka Kings as Micheal Levin fired home five goals, including a natural hat-trick, while adding an assist on the opening goal for St. Thomas.
It’s only the second five-goal game by a player in the GOJHL Western Conference in 33 years.
Levin, born in Israel, now has 17 goals in 15 games with the Stars.
