Following on the heels of their successful Re-Engage Youth Weekend in May of this year, Pearce Williams is hosting a series of mentorship sessions for teenagers.
The summer camp and retreat facility has launched its Youth Nights Mentorship Program for high school students.
Executive Director Joe Richards explains.
It’s an opportunity to hang out with other high school students. And it could lead to a job at the summer camp and retreat facility.
Richards says the Youth Nights Mentorship Program is funded by Westminster College Foundation in London.
The program is geared to helping high school students discover and develop new skills.
Richards says it is conducted in an environment built around peer relationships and support.
The weekly sessions, which run Tuesday evenings from 6 until 8 p.m. at Central United Church through the end of April, will be enhanced through a couple of weekend retreats at Pearce Williams.
Those who attend two or more weekly sessions receive a complimentary invitation to the first weekend retreat in January.
