Ontario pharmacists will soon be able to prescribe a COVID-19-fighting antiviral drug.
The Ontario government has announced that starting December 12th, pharmacists will be able to prescribe Paxlovid to eligible people both in person and virtually.
Doctor Kieran Moore says in a statement the change will expand access to the medication, increase protection to the most vulnerable, and ease hospital pressures.
