A $5,000 gift is music to the ears of Heather Robinson and her staff at St. Thomas Public Library.
The contribution was arranged through Andrew Gunn consulting and the money used to support musical performances at the library.
Gunn explains how this will impact not only the library but the adjacent Westlake-Evans Civic Park, due to open in the spring.
The $5,000 will enables the library to welcome musicians to play the piano that will be installed in the southeast corner of the building. The existing window will be replaced with a distinctive door that will open up and let the sound carry out into the park, explained Gunn.
Library CEO Heather Robinson says the funds will allow them to “dream into the new space.”
All of which will further enhance this corner of the downtown, notes Gunn.
Robinson adds the musical events that will animate the civic park.
“It opens up many opportunities to have music shared with out community and to have it enjoyed, not only within the library but also in the Westlake-Evans Civic Park.”
