The funeral for the OPP officer killed last week is set to be held Wednesday. Family, friends, colleagues and other officials are to pay tribute to 28-year-old Constable Greg Pierzchala at an arena in his hometown of Barrie. The funeral is not open to the public, but it is to be broadcast for people to view in-person at the Caledonia Lions Hall in Haldimand County, where Pierzchala was based. Pierzchala was killed in what police have called an ambush attack after he responded to a call for a vehicle in a ditch west of Hagersville, on Dec. 27th.
