City council Monday approved the capital and operating budgets for this year with no further debate. This will result in a 2.37% increase to the municipal property tax levy. The overall tax levy this year is $64.7 million, up almost $2.7 million from 2022. The city’s capital budget is $24.3 million and $142.8 million in operating costs.
