An update to the St. Thomas Police standoff Wednesday morning on Aldborough Avenue.
Forty-year-old Christopher Menard was apprehended by police and appeared in St. Thomas court later that day.
He remains in custody at Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre awaiting his next court appearance.
He had been sought by city police since January 4th on three separate arrest warrants.
The St. Thomas Police K-9 Unit and several officers donned in heavy protective equipment and weapons were on scene at the residence.
The situation was resolved peacefully shortly before noon.
In December of last year Menard, who has never been licensed to drive, faced a variety of charges after being stopped by police on Park Avenue.
He previously had been charged with dangerous driving but was released by the courts under the condition he not operate a vehicle.
In the Park Avenue incident, he was charged with three counts of breach of conditions, operation of a vehicle while prohibited and two other related offences.
